How To Send An Email To A Lead

Establishing a proper "first contact" with your leads is extremely important and greatly influences the prospect and future of a lead. Ideally, you would like to establish and initiate the first contact from your CRM (and not from your regular email inbox). This is because your CRM is the store house of all the information that is accessible to your entire team, while your email inbox is personal in nature.

Distributed Source lets you email leads from your CRM, so you don't have to use your regular email program to initiate and maintain contacts with your leads. Having all the details of your leads along with the interactions with them at one place will give you a clearer picture of where you stand with a given lead. 


This article will walk you through the steps on how to email leads from Distributed Source.


1. Login to your DistributedSource account.

2. Go to the ‘Leads’ section. All your existing leads will be displayed here.


3. Click the lead whom you wish to send an email.


4. The lead detail page of that lead will now be displayed.


5. You will see the contact details of the lead on the right side of the page. Click on the email address, as shown below:


6. You will now see a WYSIWYG email editor pop up in the same page.



Please note that you can change the email address in the ‘From:’ field to any email of your choice.


7. Fill in the subject and content of the email.

8. Once you have completed composing the email, click the ‘Send Email’ button.


9. Your email will now be successfully sent.


10. This will be reflected under the ‘History & Comments’ section on the lead detail page.
