Previously, we showed you how to import contacts from an external file to your Distributed Source account. But the reverse too might be required at times. We recognize and understand your need to have a personal backup copy of all your contacts. To satisfy this requirement of yours, we have developed and included an 'Export Contacts' feature.
In Distributed Source, you can export your contacts any number of times without any limitations or restrictions. This post guides you on how to effectively and efficiently utilize this feature.
1. Login to your Distributed Source account.
2. Navigate to the ‘Contacts’ page. All the contacts which are a part of your account along with the information related to it will be displayed here.
3. Click on the ‘Export Contacts’ link.
4. A pop-up confirming whether you wish to go through the exportation and informing you that if you do an email notification will be sent to you, will be displayed on your screen.
5. Click the ‘Ok’ button.
All your contacts will now be exported to a CSV file.
6. Now open your email Inbox.
7. You must have received an email notification from Distributed Source with the subject line ‘Distributed Source Export Contact Details’
8. Open the email.
9. Now check the attachments included in the email.
The CSV file to which your contacts were previously imported will be attached to this email. This file will be titled 'Contacts'.
10. Download the attachments. Please make sure to save it in a secure location with an identifiable name .
